Okay, so I was totally sucked into this movie “7500” on Amazon Prime. I mean, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a pilot? I’m in! But that ending… I needed to figure this * here is how I dived into it.
I started by, you know, actually watching the movie. Twice. The first time, I was just caught up in the story. But that second time, I was paying super close attention to everything – the dialogue, the background stuff, the pilot’s actions, even the stuff in the cockpit. I was like a detective with my eyes.
I paused frequently to consider, which is a great trick.
Then, I hit up the internet. I didn’t want any fancy film critic stuff. I just wanted to see what other normal people were saying. So I went to movie forums, and some social medias.
I started putting the pieces together. Here’s the big thing: the ending is all about showing how the pilot, Tobias, is totally broken but also, maybe, a tiny bit hopeful.
I mean, think about it!
- He survived this insane hijacking.
- He lost his co-pilot, and his girlfriend.
- He had to make impossible choices.
Then, I got some detailes after searching:
- The terrorists are all dead, and so is his co-pilot.
- Tobias lands the plane safely after all of that.
- The very end shows him just sitting there, completely drained.
So yeah, it’s not a happy ending, not really. But it’s not totally hopeless either. He’s alive. He did his job. He’s got a long road ahead, but he’s not giving up. That’s how I see it, anyway. It’s one of those endings that makes you think, and that’s what I like about it.
