This story ’bout Max the Elf, you hear me? He’s one of them little fellas workin’ for that big guy, Santa. Yeah, that’s right, the one with the big belly and the red suit.
Max, he ain’t like them other elves, no sir. He’s a bit clumsy, always trippin’ over his own feet. And he ain’t too good at makin’ toys, neither. One time, he tried to make a doll, ended up lookin’ like a three-legged cat! But he has a good heart, that Max.

Christmas time, that’s when them elves really get goin’. They makin’ toys, packin’ ’em up, gettin’ ’em ready for Santa to deliver. Max, he tries his best, bless his heart. But like I said, he ain’t the best at it.
- Max tried to make a train, ended up with somethin’ looked like a squashed snake.
- Tried to paint a pretty picture, ended up with a big ol’ mess of colors.
- Sewed a teddy bear with all the stuffing comin’ out.
One day, Santa, he calls all the elves together. “We got a big problem!” he says, his face all serious. “Rudolph, he’s got a bad cold, can’t fly!” Now, Rudolph, that’s the reindeer with the shiny nose. He’s the one leads Santa’s sleigh, you see.
All them elves, they start to worry. No Rudolph, no Christmas! What are they gonna do? Santa, he looks around, lookin’ for someone to help. His eyes land on Max. “Max,” he says, “you’re the only one can help us.”

Max, he’s surprised. Him? Help? He ain’t never done nothin’ important before. But Santa, he believes in him. Says Max got a special gift, a kind heart. And that’s what they need right now, a kind heart.
Santa tells Max, “You gotta find a way to make Rudolph feel better. Use your heart, Max, use your heart.” Max, he don’t know what to do. But he knows he gotta try. He goes to Rudolph, lays his hand on his nose. Starts hummin’ a little tune, a song his mama used to sing to him.
And somethin’ magical happens. Rudolph’s nose starts to glow brighter and brighter. He starts to feel better. His cold, it’s gone! He can fly again! Christmas is saved! Elf, that’s a important job.

Everyone, they’re so happy. They cheerin’ for Max. Santa, he’s proud as can be. “You did it, Max,” he says. “You saved Christmas!” Max, he’s blushin’. He never felt so good before. He learned that day that even if you ain’t the best at somethin’, you can still make a difference. You just gotta use your heart.
Max found a friend named Sam, they are happy to play together.
So that’s the story of Max the Elf. A little fella with a big heart. He showed everyone that even the smallest person can do great things. Just gotta believe in yourself and follow your heart. And that’s somethin’ we all can learn from, ain’t it?

It’s important to be kind to your friends and family around you, just like Max the elf. Elf, he likes making new friends, you know that? Every Christmas he likes meeting new friends, like Sam. They play together, work together.
You see, when you’re kind and helpful like that, good things just seem to happen. Like when Max helped Rudolph, he didn’t know he could do it, but his kind heart led the way. So that’s what I try to do, be kind to folks, help out when I can. And you know what? It makes me feel good inside, just like Max probably felt after saving Christmas.
And that’s why stories like Max’s are so important. They remind us that even the smallest among us can make a big difference. You don’t need to be the strongest or the smartest, you just need to have a good heart and be willing to help others. And that’s a lesson that’s good for everyone, young and old. Especially during Christmas, this is important.

So next time you’re feeling down, or like you can’t do anything right, just remember Max the Elf. Remember how he saved Christmas with nothing but his kind heart. And know that you can do great things too, just by being yourself and being kind to others. That’s what really matters in this world, being kind and loving to one another. And if we all did a little more of that, the world would be a much better place, wouldn’t it?
So yeah. The elf, they work at the North Pole with Santa. Making toys for all the kids. It is a tiring job, but they are all happy. Because they know they are bringing joy to the world. Christmas, the best time of the year. Elf on the Shelf, that is a good thing.
