So, today I was fiddling around with some stuff, and I stumbled upon this thing called “Mercedes Milligan”. Yeah, the name sounded kinda familiar, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. It turns out, it’s connected to this guy, Billy Milligan, who’s got a pretty wild story.
First, I dug up some info about this Apple TV+ show, “The Crowded Room”. They say it’s based on Billy’s real life. Honestly, the whole thing sounded like some crazy movie plot, but apparently, it’s all true! This Billy guy, he’s got like 24 different personalities living in his head. Can you believe that?
Then I watched a few clips from the series. They made it seem like maybe he was faking it, but then again, maybe he wasn’t. It was all very confusing, and they didn’t really push any specific idea, which I guess is good. Didn’t want them telling me what to think, you know?
After that, I found this documentary on Netflix, “Monsters Inside: The 24 Faces of Billy Milligan”. It dropped back in 2021, and it goes into all the messy details of his life. It was all over the news back in the day, his trials and everything. It’s a pretty heavy watch, I gotta say.
Digging Deeper
- So, I started reading articles, watching interviews, just trying to piece it all together.
- Found some old news reports about his court cases. Man, those were some intense times.
- Tried to understand the whole multiple personality thing. It’s way over my head, to be honest.
- Then I got sidetracked with other cases of people with similar conditions. It’s a rabbit hole, let me tell you.
By the end of the day, I was just sitting there, mind blown. This Billy Milligan story, it’s a lot to take in. I mean, it makes you think about how the human mind works and all that. I ended up spending way more time on this than I planned, but hey, it was a wild ride! I didn’t accomplish much, but learned a lot of strange and bizarre facts.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with Mercedes and Billy Milligan for today. Just thought I’d share this crazy story with you all. Maybe you’ll find it as fascinating as I did!
