Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get into cosplay for a while, and I’ve always been a huge DC fan. So, I figured, why not start there? I decided to dive deep into the world of DC Comics costumes, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride!
First, I spent hours just browsing through images online. I mean, there are SO MANY characters and SO MANY different versions of each costume. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. I created a massive folder on my computer just for reference photos.
Research and Gathering
- Started by making a list of my favorite DC characters. Think classic heroes and maybe a villain or two.
- Scoured the internet for high-quality images of their costumes from different comic book runs and artists.
- Watched some animated series and movies again for inspiration, paying close attention to how the costumes moved and looked in action.
After I narrowed down my character choices (still can’t decide!), I started looking at what materials people commonly used. I found a bunch of online forums and groups dedicated to cosplay, and they were super helpful. People were sharing tips, tutorials, and even patterns!
Choosing the Easy one
I thought,”It could be very difficult for a starter,so I need to choose a simple one”.
After a long time, I decided to begin with * red and green is classic!
Making the Costume
I chose some basic fabirc at first, and cut them follow my mind,I even didn’t draw a * a terrible begining!
After several failures,I realized that I need some skills,I started learning some basic skills, and this time I draw draft!
Finally,it is not perfect ,but I made it! Although it’s a bit rough around the edges, I’m pretty proud of it. I learned a lot along way!
