Okay, so, I was trying to get into this whole “anime con las vegas” thing. I’d heard about it from some friends, and it sounded like a blast. So, I decided to go check it out.
First off, I had to figure out what exactly this event was. I did some digging around online, and found out it’s a big anime convention held in Las Vegas. That sounded pretty cool, so I started planning my trip.
I booked a flight and a hotel room, making sure I got a decent deal on both. Then came the fun part – deciding which days to attend. The convention runs for a few days, and there are tons of panels, workshops, and events to choose from.
I made a list of the things I was most interested in. There were some voice actor panels I definitely didn’t want to miss, and a couple of workshops on cosplay that looked interesting.
I ended up buying a weekend pass, figuring that would give me enough time to see everything I wanted. I also looked into getting some autographs and photos with some of the guests.
Fast forward to the actual convention. Man, was it crowded! But it was also super exciting. There were people everywhere dressed up in costumes, and the energy was just electric. I spent the first day just wandering around, checking out the dealer’s room and the artist alley. I ended up buying way too much stuff, but hey, it’s a convention, right?
Meeting the Voice Actors
- Went to a panel with the voice actors of my favorite anime. It was so cool to hear them talk about their experiences working on the show.
- Got an autograph from one of the voice actors. I was a little starstruck, but I managed to stammer out a few words of appreciation.
- Took a photo with another voice actor. They were super nice and even complimented my outfit.
Learning to Cosplay
- Attended a workshop on making props. I learned how to use different materials and techniques to create realistic-looking props.
- Tried my hand at sewing in a cosplay sewing workshop. I’m not the best at sewing, but I managed to make a simple accessory.
- Got some tips on posing for cosplay photos. I’m still not very good at it, but at least I know what I’m supposed to be doing now.
The next couple of days were a blur of panels, workshops, and meeting new people. I even made a few friends who I still keep in touch with. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to go back next year.
If you’re into anime and you ever get a chance to go to a convention, I highly recommend it. It’s a great way to meet other fans, learn new things, and just have a ton of fun. Just be prepared to spend some money, because there’s so much cool stuff to buy!
