Alright, guys, so I’ve been messing around with SteamWorld Heist 2 lately, and let me tell you, it’s a blast! But, like any game, sometimes you just want to bend the rules a little, right? That’s where Cheat Engine comes into play. I decided to give it a shot and see what kind of fun I could have.
First things first, I grabbed the latest version of Cheat Engine. It is not that hard to find, just a few clicks away. I made sure it’s compatible with SteamWorld Heist 2. Then I fired up both the game and Cheat Engine. Once the game was running, I went into Cheat Engine and clicked on the little computer icon to select the game’s process.
Now, the real fun began. I started by looking for simple stuff, like water, you know. In the game, I checked my current water level, and then I searched for that value in Cheat Engine. Played a bit, changed the water level, and searched again. Boom, I narrowed it down to the right address.
I started with something basic like unlimited water. So I searched for the water value in the game and then scanned for that in CE. Once I found the address, I tweaked it, froze it, and bam! My water levels are locked. No more running dry in the middle of a mission.
Next, I went for something a bit more ambitious: unlimited actions. It took a few tries, but I managed to find the addresses related to actions per turn. Once I locked those in, I was practically unstoppable. Moving and shooting as much as I wanted each turn? Yes, please!
Here’s a little breakdown of what I did:
- Unlimited Water: Found the address for water, changed the value, froze it. Now I have all the water I could ever need.
- Unlimited Crystals: Same deal as water, found the address, locked it in, and now I’m rolling in crystals.
- God Mode: This one was a bit trickier, but after some digging, I found the health addresses. Froze them at max value, and my crew became invincible.
- Instant Kill: Oh boy, this one is fun. Found the addresses related to enemy health, set them to zero, and one-shot everything.
- AP Never Decrease: Found the AP addresses and made sure they never went down. Infinite actions, here I come!
After spending a good chunk of time messing around, I managed to get infinite moves and actions for any crew member. It felt pretty awesome to just go wild and not worry about running out of moves or actions in the middle of a turn.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with SteamWorld Heist 2 and Cheat Engine. It’s amazing what you can do with a little tinkering. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility, or something like that. Have fun, and don’t break the game too much!
