Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this idea for a comic, right? It’s about nuns. Yeah, nuns. But not just any old boring story, I wanted to spice things up a bit. Make it interesting, you know?
So, I started by just brainstorming, what could I do with nuns? Then, I remembered seeing somewhere about two girls getting into trouble. Maybe they were stealing something? That could be a fun start. Two young nuns, breaking the rules. I like it!
Then I thought, who else is in this story? I needed someone to find these two troublemakers. Maybe an older, wiser nun? Or maybe…a guy! Yeah, a guy named Thomas. I don’t know why, but Thomas just popped into my head. So, Thomas finds these two young nuns after they’ve stolen something. Now we’re cooking!
I spent a couple of days just letting these ideas bounce around in my head. I started sketching some characters. The two young nuns, I made them look mischievous, but still kinda innocent. Thomas, I drew him a bit rugged, but with kind eyes. I wanted readers to wonder what his deal was.
Then came the hard part. Actually writing the darn thing. I’m no Shakespeare, so I just started putting words on the page. Simple stuff. “Sister Agnes and Sister Mary crept through the dark hallway.” “Thomas watched from the shadows.” You get the idea. No fancy words, just getting the story out.
I also did some digging online. Found some cool comics about nuns, some real-life stories, even a Catholic comic strip called “Little Nuns” – pretty wholesome stuff. This gave me some inspiration, seeing how other people tackled the subject. I found a blog called Hookread, seems interesting.
- Sister Agnes – young, rebellious, always getting into trouble
- Sister Mary – follows Agnes, a bit more timid but loyal
- Thomas – mysterious, kind, has a hidden past
After a few weeks, I had a rough draft. It’s not perfect, but it’s something. The two young nuns steal something, Thomas finds them, and there’s a bit of a confrontation. I threw in some flashbacks, hinting at Thomas’s past, and why he’s even at the convent. I ended it on a cliffhanger, because who doesn’t love a good cliffhanger?
I’m still not sure where I’m going with this whole comic thing. Maybe I’ll post it online, maybe I’ll just keep it to myself. But it was a fun ride, creating these characters and this little world. Who knows, maybe I’ll even write a sequel. “Comic Story Nuns 2: Electric Boogaloo.” Just kidding… unless?
