Alright, so I decided to dive into this new show, “Bodkin,” and figured I’d keep track of my thoughts as I went. Here’s what happened with episode one.
First, I hit play, obviously. The opening was kinda intriguing, with all the mystery vibes and that Irish setting. Definitely set the stage for something… weird.
Then, I started getting to know these characters. There’s Dove, the hard-nosed journalist, and Gilbert, the, uh, enthusiastic podcaster. Totally different vibes, which I guess is the point.
I spent a good chunk of the episode trying to figure out what the heck was actually going on. It felt like they were dropping hints, but nothing was super clear. A festival with some missing people and a bunch of small-town * it.
The Investigation(kinda) Begins
- Dove being all angsty: She Clearly didn’t want to be there, and made it known. Classic.
- Gilbert trying too hard: Bless his heart, he’s just so excited about * is almost annoying.
- Them poking around: Trying to piece together what happened 25 years ago. It is harder than it looks.
As they started interviewing people, I tried to keep track of who was who and what their possible connection to the disappearances might be. Seriously, small towns have a LOT going on.
I jotted down some notes on the main suspects, or at least the people who seemed the shadiest. There’s the angry dude at the bar, the overly-helpful nun, and the mysterious Seamus. Honestly, everyone seemed a little off.
By the end of the episode, I was still pretty confused, but also hooked. They found a car in a bog, which is, you know, not something that happens every day. And then there was that ending scene with the… ritual? In the woods? Yeah, I have no idea what that was about.
So, that’s episode one! I’m definitely gonna watch the next one to see if I can figure out what’s going on in this town. Let’s see if I can put all those clues together. Stay tuned
