Okay, so I decided to dive into this “Critter Shorts” thing. I saw some buzz about it online and, well, I’m always up for trying something new, especially if it involves cute animals. I figured, “Why not? Let’s see what this is all about.”
First, I spent some time just browsing around, trying to get a feel for what people were doing. I started by watching a few that popped up in my suggestions. Most of it was just silly, short clips of animals doing, you know, animal stuff. Some were funny, some were “aww”-inducing, and some were just… weird.
Then I thought, “Okay, time to make my own!” I grabbed my phone and, I have to be honest, I don’t really take videos before.
I started by trying to film my cat, Mittens. She’s usually pretty chill, but the second I pointed the camera at her, she turned into a furry little ninja. Hiding under furniture, batting at the phone – it was a disaster. Total chaos. I did manage to get a few seconds of her looking vaguely confused, which I guess counts for something.
- Take 1: Mittens the Ninja. Result: 5 seconds of blurry fur and a lot of camera shake.
- Take 2: Mittens stares into the void. Result: 10 seconds of… well, staring.
- Take 3: I tried bribing her with treats. Result: Success! Sort of. Got a few good clips of her munching on a treat, then running away.
Putting it all together
After collecting few short clips. I then try to put them together. I’m no expert, but I did a pretty good job.
In the end, I slapped some music on it from a free library – nothing fancy, just something upbeat. I thought a video of Mittens may bring some smiles!
So, that’s my “Critter Shorts” adventure. It was definitely a learning experience. I might try it again, but maybe with a less camera-shy subject next time. Maybe my neighbor’s dog, he’s a real ham. Wish me luck!
