Alright, so I decided to tackle the Dungeon Report in Destiny 2 today. I’ve heard a lot about it, seen some videos, but never actually tried it myself. Figured it was time to give it a shot.
Gearing Up
First things first, I needed to get my gear sorted. I spent a good hour just messing around with my vault, trying to find the perfect balance. I went with my trusty Warlock, because, well, space magic is awesome. I ended up picking:
- Kinetic Weapon: A decent hand cannon I’ve been using for a while. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
- Energy Weapon: I grabbed a fusion rifle, hoping it would melt through shields.
- Power Weapon: Rocket launcher, for obvious reasons. Gotta have that big boom.
I also made sure my armor had some decent stats, focusing on recovery and resilience. Didn’t want to be a glass cannon, you know?
Diving In
So, I launched the Dungeon. The initial area was… well, it was a bit of a maze. Lots of twists and turns, and those pesky enemies popping out of nowhere. I wasted a good amount of ammo just getting my bearings. I should be more careful.
The first real encounter, I almost wiped. Seriously. Those knights with the shields are brutal. I finally figured out that I needed to coordinate with my fireteam (shoutout to those random guys, they were patient with me!) to break the shields and then unleash everything we had. Teamwork makes the dream work, as they say.
The Middle Bit – A Blur of Bullets
Honestly, the middle sections are kind of a blur. It was a constant barrage of enemies. I remember a lot of running, shooting, and dodging. My fusion rifle came in handy, taking down those shielded enemies pretty quickly. My super was a lifesaver, clearing out groups when we got overwhelmed. I think I died a couple of times, but my teammates were quick to revive me. We were making slow but steady progress.
The Boss Fight – Oh Boy
And then… the boss. Wow. This thing was huge, and it hit like a truck. We tried a few different strategies, wiping a couple of times before we got the hang of it. We learned you’re supposed to stand in certain areas, and to focus fire during certain other areas.
The key was definitely communication. We were constantly calling out enemy positions, when to use supers, and when to run for cover. It took a few tries, and a lot of yelling, but we finally took it down. It was intense!
The Loot!
After all that, the loot finally dropped. I got a new armor piece with some pretty good stats, and a weapon that I’m excited to try out. It’s all about the small victories.
Overall, it was a challenging but rewarding experience. I definitely learned a lot, and I’m looking forward to trying it again, maybe with a different character and loadout. Definitely recommend giving it a shot if you haven’t already, but be prepared for a fight!
