So, I was in the mood for something whimsical the other day, right? And what’s more whimsical than “Alice in Wonderland”? But I’ve seen it a million times. I wanted something like it, but not it, you know? Something with that same trippy, magical vibe.
First things first, I fired up my laptop. Gotta start somewhere. I opened up my browser and hit up Google. Typed in “films like Alice in Wonderland”, simple as that. And oh boy, did I get a bunch of results.
I started clicking through some of the pages. There were a lot of lists. Top 10 this, top 20 that. Some of the suggestions were kinda obvious. Like, one site was going on about “Harry Potter”. Okay, yeah, magic, sure. But it didn’t quite have that “falling down the rabbit hole” feel I was looking for.
Kept digging. Another one mentioned “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. Now that’s a bit more like it, I thought. That movie is definitely weird and unexpected, kind of like when Alice first gets to Wonderland.
Then there was this one page that had a whole list of 70 films. 70! That’s a lot to go through. But I started skimming. I saw “The Wizard of Oz” pop up. That’s a classic for a reason, I guess. It’s got that whole “not in Kansas anymore” thing going on. American Alice, sort of.

Finally Did It!
After spending what felt like hours scrolling and clicking, I finally put together my own little list. It wasn’t easy, but I think I nailed that “Alice in Wonderland” vibe. I only picked movies that really felt like they captured that sense of wonder and, well, weirdness. You know, visually stunning, a bit quirky, that kind of stuff. It was a bit of a journey, just like Alice’s, but I got there in the end.
