Okay, so the other day I fired up Helldivers 2, ready to spread some managed democracy with my buddies. But boom – I couldn’t join their game. It just kept throwing errors at me. Talk about frustrating!
Troubleshooting Time
First thing I did? I restarted the game. You know, the classic “turn it off and on again” trick. No dice. Still couldn’t connect.
Next, I checked my internet connection. Everything seemed fine there. I could browse the web, watch videos, no problem. So, it wasn’t my Wi-Fi acting up.
Then, I verified the game files through Steam. Sometimes, files can get corrupted, you know? It took a little while, but Steam gave it a thumbs-up. All files were good. Still, no luck joining my friends.
I even disabled my firewall temporarily, just to see if that was the culprit. Nope, that wasn’t it either. I turned the firewall back on immediately, of course. Safety first!
The Solution (Finally!)
I started check the game setting. And turn off the “corssplay”.
I restarted my game. After that, I tried to join my firend’s game again, and it works!
So, yeah, that’s how I finally managed to join my friends in Helldivers 2. It was a bit of a headache, but we got there in the end. Now, back to liberating planets!
