Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to get into the Heroes of Olympus series for a while now. I mean, I loved the Percy Jackson books when I was younger, and everyone keeps telling me these are just as good, if not better. So, I finally decided to take the plunge.
First, I went to my local bookstore. I figured I’d grab the first book and see how it goes. They had a whole display of Rick Riordan’s books, which was pretty cool. It took me a minute, but I found The Lost Hero and bought it right away.
- Went to the bookstore
- Found the Heroes of Olympus section
- Bought “The Lost Hero”
I started reading it that same night. I curled up on the couch with a blanket and some snacks, ready to dive in. The first few chapters totally hooked me. I mean, waking up on a school bus with no memory? That’s some serious mystery right there. I couldn’t put it down! I think I ended up reading until like 2 AM, which is way past my usual bedtime.
Getting into the story
The next day, I was pretty tired, but I kept thinking about the book. I had to know what happened to Jason, Piper, and Leo. So, I spent most of the weekend reading. I took the book with me everywhere – to the coffee shop, on the bus, even to the bathroom, not gonna lie. I was completely engrossed.
After finishing The Lost Hero, I immediately ordered the rest of the books online. I mean, I was on a roll! I was so obsessed that I started looking up fan art and theories online. Let me tell you, there’s a whole world out there dedicated to these books. It’s wild!
- Finished “The Lost Hero” in a couple of days
- Ordered the rest of the series online
- Started exploring the fandom
I just kept plowing through the books. The Son of Neptune, The Mark of Athena, The House of Hades, and finally, The Blood of Olympus. Each book was just as exciting as the last. I loved getting to know all the different characters and seeing how their stories intertwined.
Now that I’m finished, I totally get the hype. These books are amazing! I laughed, I cried, I stayed up way too late reading – it was a whole experience. I’m already thinking about re-reading them, honestly. If you haven’t checked out the Heroes of Olympus series yet, you definitely should. You won’t regret it!
