Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to read the “My Hero Academia” manga for a while now. I kept hearing about it from my friends, and it sounded right up my alley. Superpowers, high school drama, all that good stuff. I finally decided to take the plunge and find a way to read it online.
First things first, I hit up Google. Typed in “bnha manga online,” and boom, a ton of results. I noticed a few names popping up, like “VIZ Media” and “Shonen Jump,” so I figured those were probably the legit places to go. I didn’t want to mess around with any shady sites, you know?

I checked out VIZ Media’s website first, since it came up a lot. Seemed like I needed to create an account. No biggie, I’ve done that a million times. But then, I saw there was a subscription fee. It’s not a lot, only $2 a month, but still, I was hoping for something free, at least to start.
Next, I went over to the Shonen Jump site. They had the whole series there, which was cool. But same deal, you gotta pay to read most of it. They do let you read the first three and the latest three chapters for free, though. That’s something, I guess.
I decided to give those free chapters a shot. I started reading, and man, it hooked me right away! This kid, Izuku, he’s got no powers in a world where everyone else does. But he’s still got this burning desire to be a hero. I could totally relate to that. It reminded me of when I was a kid and dreamed of being an astronaut, even though I sucked at math.
- Chapter 1: Izuku’s backstory, meeting All Might.
- Chapter 2: Training with All Might, getting into U.A. High.
- Chapter 3: First day of school, meeting his crazy classmates.
After finishing those first chapters, I knew I was in it for the long haul. I mean, I gotta find out what happens next! Does Izuku master his new powers? Does he become the greatest hero? What about that villainous organization they talked about?
So, here’s the plan:
I’m gonna cough up the two bucks for the VIZ subscription. It’s worth it to read the whole story, right? I’ll start from the beginning, even though I already read the first three chapters. I want the full experience. Plus, I heard there are some intense scenes and a final war saga. I’m ready for the action!

This series is rated TV-14, so it’s not too kiddish. It seems perfect for someone like me, who’s into that 12-18 age range stuff. Alright, time to dive back into the world of “My Hero Academia”! I’ll keep you guys updated on my progress.
