Okay, so I wanted to get into DC comics again, specifically this “Infinite Frontier” thing. I’d heard good things, but honestly, figuring out where to start was a HUGE headache. I mean, there are so many comics, events, and reboots! It felt… overwhelming. So, here’s how I finally cracked the code and maybe this can save someone else some trouble.
First, I spent hours just Googling. Seriously, hours. “Infinite Frontier reading order,” “DC Infinite Frontier explained,” you name it. I found tons of articles and forum posts, but a lot of them were either too vague or way too detailed for a newbie like me.
Then I stumbled upon a few comic book websites. I read a few articles and realized.
I started to get a sense of the major players and storylines. This is what I eventually pieced together:
The Core Story:
- Infinite Frontier #0: This is the big kickoff. Kind of sets the stage for everything else.
- Infinite Frontier #1-6: This is the main miniseries.
- Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #1: I think this gives some background info on certain characters.
Tie-ins (these happen around the same time):
I also wanted to include the related issues. So, after understanding the basic outline of the main series, I decided to find the related issues.
- Justice League #59-71
- The Flash #768-771
- Batman #106-117
- Superman #29-32
- Action Comics #1029-1035
- Wonder Woman #770-781
- And a bunch more! Honestly, there are a lot.
After all that, I felt like I finally had a handle on things. I grabbed Infinite Frontier #0, and dove in. The other stuff, I’m still figuring out how much I want to read. It all depends on which characters I get invested in, I guess!
So that’s my journey. It was messy, it took a while, but I finally got there. Hopefully, this helps someone else jump into Infinite Frontier without quite as much confusion!
