Okay, here’s my take on sharing my experience, modeled after your example and following all your guidelines:
Alright, so I got this idea to mess around with some character concepts, specifically diving into X-Men’s evil mutants. Trevor Fitzroy, that dude with the crazy energy-draining powers, caught my eye. Figured I’d try to, you know, understand his deal a bit better.
I started by grabbing some reference images. You know, just googling around, looking at different comic book panels, maybe some fan art, just to get a feel for his look and vibe. Dude’s got that weird armor and those glowing bits, so I wanted to make sure I had a good handle on that.

Then I started to think, “Okay, how would I actually use this character?” Maybe in a story, maybe just for some fun sketches. So I did a little brainstorming:
- Power Set: Energy absorption, time portals… that’s some heavy stuff. How does it actually work?
- Personality: He’s a bad guy, sure, but why? What’s his motivation? Is he just pure evil, or is there something more there?
- Visuals: Gotta nail that 90s X-Men aesthetic. Big shoulder pads, weird tech, you know the drill.
I spent a good chunk of time just scribbling down notes. Little character sketches, ideas for how his powers might look in action, that sort of thing. Nothing fancy, just getting my thoughts down. I was filling my notebook with these drawings of mine.
Then, it’s showtime. I am trying to put everything I had learned into a single drawing. I was really happy when I saw the final result!
So yeah, that was my little adventure with Trevor Fitzroy. Nothing earth-shattering, but it was a fun way to spend an afternoon and explore a cool character. Maybe I’ll do more with him later, maybe not. We’ll see!
