Okay, so, I got this new action figure the other day – it’s called La Borinqueña, and it’s pretty neat. It’s a 1:12 scale, which I guess means it’s one-twelfth the size of what the real person would be, if they were real.
I started by carefully taking it out of the box. You know, I didn’t want to rip anything or damage the packaging. Then, I just kinda looked at it for a while. It’s got a lot of joints, like, a lot. You can move the arms, legs, head, even the hands and feet. It’s cool how much you can pose it.
I spent a good chunk of time just messing around with different poses.
- I had her standing straight up, like she was ready for action.
- Then I put her in a running pose, which was a little tricky to balance, but I got it.
- I even tried to make her do some kind of superhero landing, you know, like they do in the movies. It’s harder than it looks!
This figure, it also came with some extra stuff. Different hands, and what not. I didn’t really use those yet, but I might later on.
After playing around with it for a while, I decided to put it on my shelf with my other figures. It looks pretty good up there, and it fits in pretty well with the rest of my collection.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this La Borinqueña figure.
It’s well-made, you can pose it in tons of ways, and it just looks cool. If you’re into collecting action figures, I’d say it’s worth checking out. Plus, I heard there is also a “Oro El Coqui Dorado” version, I might get that one next time. Oh, by the way, I spent around $42.99 on this one, which isn’t too bad, I guess.
