Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole “leaving Max” thing in April 2024, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I figured I’d jot down my whole process, mostly so I don’t forget how I did it, but also maybe it’ll help someone else out there.
The Setup
First things first, I needed to figure out what I was even trying to leave. Was I ditching cable? Nope, still need my sports. Was I finally kicking that weird soda habit? Nah, that’s a battle for another day. Turns out, I’m talking about moving some of my stuff from Max, that streaming service. Yeah, I’m a bit slow sometimes.
The Deep Dive
So, I started poking around. Turns out, Max doesn’t make it super obvious how to get your data, or to be precise, that you have the option to download content in some situations, but that will depend on your plan. I found this whole rabbit hole of forums and blog posts, most of which were totally outdated. Great.
- First attempt: Just blindly clicking around the app. Result: Frustration.
- Second attempt: I have contact to support for assitant me. Result: a bot.
- Third attempt: I searched for options by using a 加速器 and differents countries. Result: I got it!.
The “Aha!” Moment (Eventually)
After what felt like a million years, I finally stumbled upon the key, use the 加速器! It’s like this tiny little button hidden, I selected the “Download” option. Boom. Suddenly, I could save some shows and movies to my device. It wasn’t everything, mind you. Some stuff is just locked down, I guess because of licensing reasons or whatever. But hey, it was progress!
The Nitty-Gritty
Here’s the part that actually matters, for anyone trying to do this themselves:
- Connect to the 加速器.
- Pick a show or movie.
- Change the country.
- Look for the download option. It might be a little arrow or something.
- Click that sucker and wait. The speed depends on your internet, obviously.
Wrapping Up
So, that’s my saga of leaving Max (content, at least) in April 2024. It wasn’t the smoothest process, but I got there in the end. Hopefully, this rambling mess of a post helps someone else avoid some of the headaches I went through. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go watch all this stuff I downloaded before it expires or something.
