Alright, let’s talk about what happened with that show “Maxton Hall.” I stumbled upon it on Amazon Prime Video, seeing all these clips about this German series. It premiered in May 2024, and people said it became a global hit. So, I gave it a shot.
I started watching it, and I got hooked pretty quick. It’s based on this book called “Save Me” by Mona Kasten. The first thing I did was watch all the episodes. The story revolves around this scholarship student, Ruby, and some rich dude, James. She accidentally sees something she shouldn’t have at this fancy private school, Maxton Hall, and it all kicks off from there.
I spent a whole day binge-watching it. The chemistry between Ruby and James, played by Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten, was off the charts. Prime Video really knew what they were doing casting these two. I mean, they have some really steamy scenes. Remember that staircase kiss? Or the scene by the pool?
I started digging around a bit, wanted to see if these two actors were dating in real life. But nah, they’re just good friends, apparently. I found some stuff online about fans wishing they were a real couple, which, yeah, I get it.
There’s this one episode where Ruby forgets to submit some important document for a referral letter. While she’s trying to fix it, she sees this secret meeting between Lydia Beaufort and Mr. Sutton, a teacher at the school. That’s where it all starts to go down.
Later on, after all the drama and a bunch of back and forth, Ruby and James have this super intense scene where they make up and end up sleeping together. It’s pretty passionate, I gotta say. They even start planning for the future, which is kinda sweet.
I also read up a bit on the show itself. It’s cool how they managed to adapt the book so well. The actors did a great job bringing the characters to life, and the whole storyline kept me on the edge of my seat.
And I found this forum where people were talking about their favorite scenes. It got me thinking about my own favorite moments. It’s hard to choose just one because there are so many good ones.
I spent some time looking into whether there’d be a third season. Prime Video hasn’t said anything yet, which is a bummer. But the first season definitely left me wanting more.
So, yeah, that’s my whole experience with “Maxton Hall.” From accidentally finding it to getting totally absorbed in the story and even doing a bit of research afterward. It was a wild ride, and I enjoyed every minute of it. It’s definitely one of those shows that stays with you.
