Okay, so I stumbled upon this thing called “Monster Run Comic Studio” and figured, why not give it a shot? I’ve always been a bit of a doodler, and the idea of making my own little comic strip sounded kinda fun.
First, I had to, you know, actually get the app. Found it, no problem. Installed it and opened it up. The interface, at first glance, looked pretty simple. There were these different monster characters – kinda goofy-looking, but in a charming way, I guess.
I started by picking a background. They had a bunch of options, like a spooky forest, a city street, even a spaceship interior! I went with the classic spooky forest because, well, monsters.
Next up, I chose my monster. There was this one-eyed blob thing, a furry dude with big teeth, and a kinda cute bat-like creature. I grabbed the furry guy – he seemed like he had some personality.
Then came the fun part – posing the monster! You could click and drag different parts of their bodies, making them wave, jump, or even just stand there looking confused. It was a little clunky at first, like trying to teach a puppet to dance, but I got the hang of it after a few minutes of messing around.
After I had my monster posed just right, I added a speech bubble. That’s where I could type in whatever I wanted the monster to say. I went with a simple “Grrr!” because, you know, monster.
Building the Story
The app lets you add multiple panels, so I started building a little scene. I added another monster – the one-eyed blob – and had him looking scared in the next panel. Then, I added another panel with the furry guy looking all smug, like he’d just pulled a prank.
- Panel 1: Furry monster in the forest, saying “Grrr!”
- Panel 2: One-eyed blob looking terrified.
- Panel 3: Furry monster looking smug. Classic.
I kept playing around with it, adding more panels and trying out different expressions and poses. It was actually pretty addictive! I ended up with a short little comic about the furry monster scaring the blob and then stealing his candy. Don’t judge, it seemed funny at the time.
Finally, I hit the “Save” button, and bam! My little monster comic was done. It wasn’t exactly a masterpiece, but it was mine, and it was kind of fun to see my silly little idea come to life.
It is something easy for everyone to have a try, and it’s pretty fun!
