Okay, so I finally got around to watching the last episode of Industry, Season 1. Episode 8, boom! Let me tell you, it was a wild ride. I had to practically force myself to get through it, because, honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of financial dramas. But, hey, I started it, so I had to finish it, right?
First, I grabbed my laptop and made myself comfortable on the couch. You know, the usual setup – blanket, maybe some snacks. Gotta have the right atmosphere, even if I’m just forcing myself to watch something.
Then, I fired up, you know, that streaming service. I’m not gonna name names, but it’s the one I use for most shows. Found the episode, hit play, and braced myself.
The episode itself? Man, it was intense. Lots of yelling, fast talking, and people staring intensely at computer screens. I’ll be honest, I didn’t understand half of the financial jargon they were throwing around. Something about “RIF” and “shorting” and “positions.” My head was spinning. It’s like a differnt language.
My Notes During the Episode
- Harper’s Choice: Okay, the big thing was Harper having to make this HUGE decision. Do I stick with Daria,or do I go with that creepy Eric. It was messed up.
- Yasmin’s Drama: Yasmin, oh Yasmin. She’s got her own problems, and that situation is messy. Her deal,or the other deal.
- Robert’s Spiral: Robert. He really lost.
- Gus’s Exit: Gus,I guess.
I had to rewind a few times just to figure out who was screwing over whom. It’s like everyone is trying to stab everyone else in the back. Cutthroat, I tell ya.
In the end, Harper makes her choice, and… wow. I did not see that coming. I mean, I kinda did, because it’s a TV show, and they always go for the dramatic twist, but still. It was pretty * choice.
So, yeah, that’s my recap. I watched it, I (mostly) understood it, and I’m pretty sure I need a drink now. Maybe something a little less intense next time, like a baking show or something.
