Okay, so, I wanted to do something fun with the kids today, and we decided to go with “Princess Cadance coloring pages”. First, I went and found a bunch of different coloring pages online. There are tons of them out there, you just gotta look around a bit. I found some really cool ones on a couple of different sites that are all about coloring pages.
Once I had a good selection, I printed them out. I made sure to print a few copies of each, just in case the kids messed up or wanted to color the same picture again. It’s always better to have extras, you know?
Getting the Supplies Ready
After printing, I gathered all our coloring supplies. We’ve got a big box full of crayons, colored pencils, and markers. I laid everything out on the table so the kids could easily see and grab what they wanted. We even got some glitter glue out for some extra sparkle, because, hey, who doesn’t love glitter?
- Crayons – we have a huge box with all the colors you can imagine.
- Colored Pencils – these are great for details.
- Markers – for those bold, bright colors.
- Glitter Glue – because everything is better with glitter!
Coloring Time!
Then came the fun part – coloring! The kids picked their favorite Princess Cadance pages and started coloring. My youngest went straight for the crayons, while my older one opted for the colored pencils to get all the little details just right. I even joined in and colored a page myself. It was super relaxing and a great way to bond with the kids. They were so proud showing me their works!
We spent a good hour just coloring and chatting. It was really nice to just sit down and do something creative together. Plus, the kids were so engaged and focused, it was a great way to keep them entertained without any screens involved.
The Final Results
In the end, we had a whole bunch of beautifully colored Princess Cadance pages. Some were a bit messy, some were super detailed, but they all looked great in their own way. We decided to hang them up on the fridge. Now, every time we walk into the kitchen, we see these colorful reminders of our fun afternoon. Coloring is a good way to let them show their imagination, right?
This was such a simple activity, but it turned out to be so much fun. It just goes to show that you don’t need to do anything fancy to have a good time. Sometimes, the simplest things are the best. I’m definitely going to keep this in mind for future rainy days or just any time we need a little creative break. That’s all I want to share for today. Hope you guys enjoy it and maybe get some inspiration from this!
