Okay, here’s my experience with the “Puppet Master Collection Blu-ray”, written in a casual, blog-style format:
So, I’ve been on this HUGE horror movie kick lately. You know, the kind where you just want to dive into a franchise and watch every single one? Well, I decided to tackle the Puppet Master series. I mean, killer puppets? How could I resist? The problem? Finding all the movies in decent quality. That’s where this Blu-ray collection came in.
The Hunt Begins
First off, I hit up all the usual spots, trying to find individual copies of the movies. Some were easy to find, some were, like, impossible, others has very bad quality. It was a mess! Then I stumbled upon this “Puppet Master Collection” Blu-ray set. Bingo!
Getting My Hands on It
Ordered it. Yep, that simple. It arrived pretty fast, which was awesome because I was itching to start my marathon.
Unboxing and First Impressions
The packaging was solid. It’s one of those multi-disc * the discs were there, snug and secure.
The picture quality? Surprisingly good! I mean, these are older movies, and you expect a little grain, a little… vintage-ness. But honestly, they looked great on my TV. Way better than any streaming version I’d seen.
The Marathon
I dove in. Movie after movie. Blade, Pinhead, Leech Woman… all the creepy little guys were there, doing their thing. The audio was also crisp and clear – important for those creepy sound effects and the… unique… dialogue.
The Extras (Or Lack Thereof)
Okay, this is where I was a little let down. I’m a sucker for special features – behind-the-scenes stuff, commentary, interviews. This collection is pretty bare-bones. It’s mostly just the movies themselves.
My Final Thoughts
- Pros:
- All (or most) of the movies in one place!
- Great picture and sound quality.
- Convenient.
- Cons:
- Not much in the way of special features.
Overall, if you’re a Puppet Master fan, or if you’re just looking for a fun, cheesy horror movie marathon, this collection is a great. It made my life a lot easier, and I got to enjoy the movies the way they were meant to be seen. The price isn’t bad, so, pick it.
