Today I tried out a game called “Shadows of Desire.” It’s been on my radar for a while, and I finally got around to playing it. I launched the game, and right off the bat, it lets you skip the plot if you want. But, you know me, I’m a sucker for a good story, so I decided to watch it. And I have to say, it’s pretty interesting so far.
The game’s about this guy named Fred, just an average, short dude, but he’s got this amazing girlfriend and is always around some shady people. So life’s not exactly a walk in the park for him. But the story made it clear that he’s not a racist, which I guess is good to know.
After the intro, I started wandering around the city. The first thing I had to do was find and talk to three elves. I bumped into a gangster at some point and later met this character named Cami in the city. There was a minor hiccup, though. It seemed like I triggered a bug where I went back to the previous day after entering a van store. I think it happened because I talked to the gangster before Cami showed up. But from what I saw in some patch notes, it looks like the developers have already fixed that, which is awesome.
I read some interview with the creators of this game, they seem like cool people.
My impression so far
- The game’s pretty chill, you know, not too difficult.
- Even when the fights get tough, there are tons of ways to heal yourself.
- You can mess around with objects in the game, stacking them or moving them to solve puzzles. It’s called “Echoes.”
- There are over 900 stories related to “shadows of desire game” and the most popular one is called Necromancer Of The Shadows.
I’m going to keep playing and see where the story takes Fred. It’s definitely an entertaining experience so far, and I’m curious to see how it all unfolds.
