Alright, so I finally got around to watching the latest episode of “Slow Horses,” season 4, episode 4. Let me tell you, it was a wild ride! I started by grabbing a bag of chips and a soda – gotta have snacks for these intense shows, right? Settled into my comfy couch, fired up the TV, and got started with watching.
This episode, they titled it “Returns”. I’ve been following this show since the beginning, and I gotta say, this season’s been pretty interesting, especially with this Frank Harkness guy. They introduced him, and I was like, “Who’s this dude?” Turns out, he’s the big deal of this season. I went into the episode thinking, “Alright, let’s see what trouble River’s gonna get into this time.” See, he’s always in some kind of mess because of that one screw-up at Stansted Airport. It’s been a bit tough for him since he messed up that training exercise and ended up in Slough House.
So, I’m watching, and things get pretty crazy. Frank, who’s apparently River’s dad, shows up. I did not see that coming! He’s super shady and always up to no good, the sort of character that makes you sit on the edge of your seat, wondering what he’ll do next. I’m watching, and then, boom! Frank takes River hostage. I was shouting at the TV, “No way!” But, of course, Frank’s too slick. He throws a grenade for a distraction and just vanishes. Classic bad guy move. My heart was pounding, I mean, that’s his own son!
- First, we see River all stressed out, dealing with his dad.
- Then, Frank being all sneaky, grabs River.
- Next thing you know, a grenade’s thrown, and Frank’s gone.
But it wasn’t just that. Remember Marcus? Yeah, they got rid of him too. And Min, oh man, don’t even get me started. It’s like, if your name starts with ‘M’, you’re doomed in this show. I was pretty bummed about that. I liked those guys. And poor ‘Bad’ Sam Chapman, he got messed up badly. I was like, “Come on, give these guys a break!”
The Ending
By the end of the episode, I was just drained. It was one thing after another, you know? And River, deciding to confront his grandfather after all this? That’s a whole other can of worms. I finished my snacks, turned off the TV, and just sat there, thinking about everything that went down. This show, man, it really knows how to keep you hooked. I can’t wait to see what happens next, but I’m also a little scared, to be honest. Who else is gonna get the chop? It’s exciting but also kind of nerve-wracking. Anyway, that’s my take on the episode. What a ride!
