Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Stranger Things” casting call thing floating around the internet lately, and I got curious. Figured, why not give it a shot? Might be fun, right? So, I started digging around to see what this whole casting thing is about.
First off, I realized these casting calls are mostly for extras, not the main stars. Those big roles are handled behind the scenes, you know, all hush-hush. But still, being an extra on a show like “Stranger Things” would be pretty cool. It’s not like finding some random casting; it needs to have real experience. I needed to find those casting calls for those who have experience in the acting industry. I didn’t find any casting calls on the streets. I learned I must check theater schools and acting coaches.
Here’s how I went about finding these casting calls:
- Checked Official Sources: I found that there are some websites like Project Casting that sometimes have listings for “Stranger Things.” But it looks like you gotta pay to see some of them, which I wasn’t too thrilled about.
- Social Media Stalking: I started following the official “Stranger Things” accounts and some casting directors on Instagram and Twitter. They sometimes post about open calls there, so it’s worth keeping an eye on.
- Keeping an eye out for open auditions: It seems like they sometimes have open auditions, so I’m gonna keep my eyes peeled for any news on that front. I will need to check the official website and follow the casting director.
From what I gathered, these casting calls are pretty specific. They want people of certain ages, looks, and sometimes even with special skills like horseback riding or speaking a foreign language. They need specific actors, not ordinary people. It’s kinda like applying for a regular job, but way cooler, obviously.
So far, I haven’t actually applied for anything yet. I’m still kinda figuring it all out and trying to decide if I want to go for it. It would be awesome to be a part of the show, even if it’s just in the background. Plus, who knows, maybe it could lead to something bigger?
