Okay, so I’ve been on this kick lately where I’m trying to find movies that are kinda like other movies I love. You know, that feeling when you finish a film and you’re like, “I need MORE of this!”? Yeah, that’s me, all the time. So, the other day, I watched “The Other Woman” with Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton. It’s that one where they find out they’re all dating/married to the same guy, and then they team up to get revenge. Hilarious, right?
Anyway, I wanted to find more movies with that same vibe – you know, strong female friendships, a bit of comedy, maybe some revenge… So I started digging. My process is pretty simple, nothing fancy, I Will show you guys.
My “Research” (aka Googling and Clicking Around)
First, I just straight-up Googled “similar movies to The Other Woman”. I mean, that’s the obvious first step, right? I got a bunch of lists, some helpful, some not so much.
I started jotting down the movie titles that popped up repeatedly. You know, the ones that seemed to be on every single list. Those were my prime suspects.
- Bridesmaids: Ok, this one was a no-brainer. Super funny, all about female friendships. Checked that one off.
- John Tucker Must Die:Been there I have seen it. It’s get the similiar ideas.
- The First Wives Club: This one came up a lot. Older, but the premise is basically the same – women getting back at their exes. Added it to the list.
- 9 to 5: Another older one, but it kept appearing, so I figured it was worth checking out. Workplace revenge, sounds promising.
Then, I would click around on the suggestions on that platfrom I used. you know,”If you liked The other woman, you might also like…”. That’s where I found a few more to add to my list.
Watching Trailers & Reading Reviews
Once I had a decent list, I started watching trailers on that video website. Gotta get a feel for the movie, right? If the trailer didn’t grab me, I moved on. No time for boring movies!
I also skimmed some reviews. I didn’t read anything too in-depth, just wanted to get a general sense of whether people liked the movie and if it had the kind of vibe I was looking * also,I will read some bad reviews to make my desision.
The Final List (So Far!)
So, after all that “hard work” (haha), here’s what I’ve got so far. I haven’t watched all of these yet, but they’re on my list:
- Bridesmaids
- The First Wives Club
- 9 to 5
- Girls Trip
- Bad Moms
It’s not a super long list, but it’s a good start! I’m planning a movie night (or several) to watch these. I’ll probably update this later after I’ve seen them and let you know what I think. Gotta keep track of my movie adventures, right?Anyone else had seen these movies?Tell me what you think!
