Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure with “Chinatown” in 4K.
So, I’d heard the buzz about this 4K release of “Chinatown.” I’m a huge fan of the movie – the story, the acting, Jack Nicholson, everything. I figured, “Why not see it in the best possible quality?” So, that what gets me start to do this.
Getting My Hands on It
First thing I do was find a copy. Not too tricky, I found it online.
The Setup
Next, I needed to make sure I could actually watch it in 4K. I’ve got a 4K TV, and I use my old 4k player to play the movie.
Watching the Movie
I made some popcorn, dimmed the lights, and hit play.
- The Picture: Okay, the first thing that hit me was the detail. I do feel like they were right there on the streets of 1930s Los Angeles. The colors, too, I remember it looking good before, but this was something else.
- The Sound: I don’t have a super fancy surround sound system, the audio was crisp and clear. I feel like it can make me hear every creak of a door, every whispered line.
My Overall Thoughts
Was it worth it? Absolutely. I’ve seen “Chinatown” many times,I do think this 4K version made me feel like I was seeing it with fresh eyes. If you’re a fan of the film, I’d say it’s good way to experience it.
This isn’t some groundbreaking technical thing,I just wanna share my experience with everyone.
