Okay, so today I decided to try making those “duck rings” I saw floating around online. You know, the ones that look like little rubber duckies swimming in a pool? Yeah, those. I figured, why not? Seemed like a fun little project.
Getting Started
First, I needed to gather my supplies. I went on a hunt around the house and managed to find:
- Blue Jello (the ocean, duh!)
- Some clear plastic cups (to hold the “water”)
- And of course, the star of the show, tiny rubber duckies! (I actually had to go out and buy these. Worth it.)
Mixing it all
Next up, it was time to get cooking… well, sort of.
I followed the instructions on the Jello box. Pretty standard stuff: boil water, add the powder, stir, stir, stir, then let it cool down a bit.
Pouring
Once the Jello had cooled but not set, I poured it into the plastic cups. I made sure not to fill them all the way to the top, because, you know, the ducks needed room to float.
The moment of truth
And now, the most important part – added the duckies! I carefully placed one little ducky into each cup, making sure they were right-side up. They looked so cute bobbing around in the blue Jello.
Chill out
After that, I put the cups into the fridge to let the Jello fully set. This was the hardest part, waiting! It felt like forever, but I think it was only a few hours.
Finally, they were ready! And they looked awesome! The little ducks looked like they were having a pool party. It was totally worth the effort. My kids are in love with these, by the way.
