Today, I went on a little adventure to find a McFarlane Spider-Man action figure. I’ve been eyeing one of these for a while now, and I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one.
First, I checked out Target. They usually have a pretty good selection of action figures, and I was hoping to find the Spider-Man one there. I went to the toy section and started browsing.
- I saw a McFarlane Toys DC Direct Batman figure for $29.99. It looked cool, but I was set on getting Spider-Man.
- Then I spotted a McFarlane Toys My Hero Academia figure for $39.99. I’m not really into that series, so I passed.
I kept looking, and finally, I saw it! The McFarlane Toys Spider-Man Gold Label Action Figure. It looked amazing, with all the details and articulation you’d expect from a McFarlane figure.
I decided to see if I could find a better deal elsewhere. I checked out Best Buy’s website, but their prices were about the same. They did have a bunch of other Marvel Comics figures from McFarlane, like Deadpool, Magneto, Wolverine, Captain America, Venom, and Iron Man, all for around $29.99. But again, I really wanted that specific Spider-Man figure.
Next, I went to GameStop. I found a McFarlane Toys Marvel The Amazing Spider-Man (Issue 323) Captain America Statue with Todd McFarlane Autograph. It was a GameStop exclusive and looked pretty sweet, but I was still focused on the Spider-Man figure.
I also found an article on Hake’s about a recent auction where an Amazing Spider-Man #1 comic sold for a ton of money. It got me thinking about how valuable some of these collectibles can be.
After all that searching, I decided to go back to Target and get the Spider-Man figure I originally saw. I mean, it was the one I really wanted, and the price was reasonable. I grabbed it off the shelf, paid for it, and now I’m a happy owner of a McFarlane Spider-Man action figure!
It was a fun little mission, and I’m glad I finally got my hands on this figure. It’s going to look great on my shelf with my other collectibles.
