So, I wanted to dive into the whole “Ultimates” thing in 2024, you know, catch up on what’s been happening. It all started with me seeing some buzz online about it, and I figured, why not? I’m a bit of a comics fan, but I hadn’t really dug into this series before.
First things first, I had to figure out where to even begin. Turns out, “Ultimate Invasion” is the starting line, and it’s just four issues. Easy enough, I thought. I managed to find them online – not gonna say where, you know how it is – and got reading.
After that, there’s this one-shot called “Ultimate Universe #1.” It’s like a bridge, connecting “Ultimate Invasion” to the ongoing series. I breezed through that one pretty quickly. It sets up the whole universe, so it’s kinda important.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. There are three main series going on right now: “Ultimate Spider-Man,” “Ultimate Black Panther,” and “Ultimate X-Men.” I decided to start with “Ultimate Spider-Man” because, well, who doesn’t love Spidey? The cool thing is, you don’t really have to read them in any specific order. It’s pretty flexible.
- “Ultimate Spider-Man” – This was a good choice. It’s a fresh take on the character, and it’s been a blast to read.
- “Ultimate Black Panther” – I jumped into this one next. It’s got a different vibe, more political and intense. It introduces some cool concepts and characters. I’m hooked!
- “Ultimate X-Men” – Okay, this one is a bit wild. I was excited about this series. It’s definitely unique, and I’m still trying to figure out all the new mutants and their powers.
I’ve been using a few different online platforms to read these. Some have a “guided reading experience,” which is kinda neat. It helps you follow along panel by panel. It’s like having someone hold your hand through the story, which can be nice for the more complex parts.
Some Random Story Bits I Dug Up
I stumbled upon some random issues, and they were pretty cool. There was this one where America Chavez, who’s apparently a big deal in the “Ultimates” universe, was hanging out with these galactic travelers. Totally out-there stuff.
And then there was this other one, where some random person picked up a bow and arrow that was left behind, and suddenly they’re going toe-to-toe with the Ultimates over some Stark Tech. I mean, who does that? It’s wild!
Oh, and I found this tidbit about the Ultimates having a secret HQ where they plan their “change the world” stuff. I guess they’re like a super-secret superhero team, which is always cool.
I also read something about “Ultimate Hawkeye” targeting “Captain America” and then the Ultimates having to take down the “Hulk.” I haven’t gotten to those parts yet, but it sounds like some serious drama is about to go down.
Honestly, it’s been a wild ride so far. I’m still getting my bearings in this “Ultimate” universe, but it’s been a ton of fun. There’s just so much going on, and I can’t wait to see where it all leads. It’s like, every issue is a surprise, and I’m here for it!
