Okay, so I finally got around to tackling Berserk Book 14. I’ve been putting it off, mostly because, well, it’s Berserk. You know it’s going to be intense.
First, I grabbed my copy off the shelf. It’s got that satisfying weight to it, you know? The deluxe editions are really something. I flipped it open, admiring the artwork. Miura’s detail is just insane. I mean, you can practically feel the grit and grime.
Then, I settled into my reading chair. Got my comfy blanket, a big glass of water (gotta stay hydrated!), and dove in.
I started reading, slowly savoring each panel. No rushing through this. I took my time, letting the story really sink in. There were a few parts I went back and re-read, just to make sure I caught every nuance, every little detail in the expressions.
- Chapter One: Started off relatively calm…for Berserk, anyway.
- Midway Through: Things got really dark. I mean, REALLY dark. I had to take a few breaks to just process it all.
- Climax: Classic Berserk. Brutal, beautiful, and utterly captivating.
- Final Pages of Book 14: The final page? Total cliffhanger, as always. Left me wanting more.
Honestly, I finished reading it a few hours ago, and I’m still thinking about it. That’s the power of Berserk, I guess. It just sticks with you.
My Overall Thoughts
It’s intense and can make you feel uncomfortable at times. But I pushed through it, because I appreciate the reading experience. It’s really good stuff, just keep the lights on at night.
