Okay, so today I decided to tackle “x-men 7”. I’ve been putting this off, gonna be honest, mostly because the last few attempts ended up in a total mess. But, hey, gotta keep trying, right?
Getting Started
First thing I did was gather all my materials. I’ve got this box of random electronic parts – wires, resistors, a few microcontrollers, the works. It’s kind of a junk drawer, but sometimes you find gold in there.
I spent a good hour just sorting through everything, trying to find the specific components I knew I’d need. I even dusted off my old multimeter – haven’t used that thing in ages! Had to slap in some new batteries.
The Messy Middle
Then came the fun part – actually building the thing. I started by laying out the main circuit board and soldering the basic connections. My soldering skills are… well, let’s just say they’re “rustic”. There were a few accidental bridges and some questionable-looking joints, but I managed to get everything connected.
- I’m try to connect those line first.
- Soldering, Soldering, Soldering.
- Fixed the board and double checked everyting again.
Next up was the programming. This is where things usually go sideways for me. I’m not exactly a coding whiz. I found some sample code online and started tweaking it, trying to get it to do what I wanted. It was a lot of trial and error, lots of compiling, uploading, and then realizing I’d messed something up.
At one point, I accidentally shorted something out and had to replace a fuse. That was a bit of a setback, but thankfully I had a spare. Let’s just say there was a lot of muttering and maybe a few choice words directed at the inanimate objects on my workbench.
Fingers Crossed!
Finally, after a few hours of tinkering, I had something that looked like it might actually work. I hooked it up to a power supply, held my breath, and flipped the switch.
And… it worked! Well, mostly. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely doing something. I saw some lights blinking, and I heard some noises, so that’s a win in my book.
I’m still not 100% sure what “x-men 7” actually does, but I built it, and it didn’t explode. That’s enough for today. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try to figure out what I actually made. Or maybe I’ll just move on to “x-men 8”. Who knows?
